

Sheila Joy Skinner, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully at home in Littleton, Colorado at the age of 80 years old. She was born in Brookville Pennsylvania to Doris and Melvin Hillard and pursued a blessed life with her family and friends. Sheila’s passions in life were spending time with her family, oil painting, and writing poetry.
Sheila was raised in Summerville and spent time with her grandmother at the family’s general store. Sheila married Howard Bronson and moved to Pittsburgh, giving birth to two sons and a daughter. Sheila spent those early years working and raising her children until a home fire and divorce. Sheila continued to raise her children as a single mother working nights doing data entry. Sheila married Gary Skinner, and due to health concerns, moved to Thornton Colorado and gave birth to a third son.
Sheila and Gary with their younger sons moved to Tucson for work and to spend time with Sheila’s mother and father who retired in Tucson, Arizona. Sheila later divorced Gary and returned to Littleton Colorado with her younger sons. Sheila lived with her son Greg, his wife Jenifer, and their children Christian and Alyssa.
Sheila is survived by her two sons and daughter, Alan Bronson, Greg Skinner and Sheila Boone, as well as her grandchildren Sharman Smoak, Alex Bronson, Ryan Bronson, Christian Skinner, and Alyssa Skinner. Sheila is preceded in death by both her parents, son Adam Wade Bronson who passed away on April 16, 2002, grandson Jason Michael Boone on December 14, 2006, and Howard Bronson on November 06, 2013.
A funeral viewing will be held on October 25th, 2024, at 9:00 am with a funeral service following at 10:00 am honoring her life well lived. Following the funeral services, she will be laid to rest in the Littleton Cemetery near her son Adam Bronson.
