Sonia Lou Mattson of Aurora Colorado passed away on Tuesday May 2nd 2023 after a long fought battle with cancer, both breast and lung. Born January 8th 1952 to John and Golda Mattson of Kennedy, Minnesota, she moved to Colorado in 1977 for a fresh start. She is survived by her sister Mary Dahl, children Tiffany and Jonathan, son-in-law James, and grandchildren Michael, Brandon, and Christopher.
After moving to Colorado she quickly became a life long Denver Broncos fan. Although she would also learn to love the other sport’s teams of Colorado, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rockies, and Colorado Avalanche, they paled in comparison to her love of the Broncos. In her words "JOHN ELWAY IS THE GREATEST BRONCO TO EVER PLAY!"
Her memorial will be held on June 9th at 2:00 pm at . . . Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary . . . 6601 South Colorado Blvd in Centennial, Colorado 80121.
