With broken hearts, we share that our beloved mother, Wally’s soulmate and best friend passed away peacefully in her sleep last night (5/13/25). She was recently diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in early April, just months after clear scans in December. The cancer was devastatingly aggressive, but even in those final weeks, she remained strong, loving, and full of grace.
She lived an extraordinary life — filled with adventure, world travel, deep friendships, and unwavering love for her family. Our mom had a heart of gold. She was generous, outspoken, fiercely loving, and undeniably strong (and yes, stubborn too). She always wanted to help — and, let’s be honest, she loved to be in charge. She was a woman who made things happen.
Her love for Wally was infinite. They absolutely adored each other, and the loss he feels now is immeasurable.
While we are heartbroken to know we won’t see her, hear her laugh, or hold her hand again, we take comfort in believing her spirit lives on in everyone she touched. In that way, we are blessed to carry a piece of her in our hearts forever.
Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers, especially Wally, who is deeply grieving the loss of his best friend. We will share details soon about a memorial/ celebration of life to honor the incredible woman she was
