Born on December 6, 1960, in Denver, Colorado, Tom lived a life full of passion, curiosity, and heart. He was a devoted husband to Amy Branscome, and their story began in a memorable way. After Tom won tickets to see The Allman Brothers Band through a radio contest, he asked the local radio station to help him find a date during their weekly "Do a Favor Thursday" segment. Amy heard the segment and called in, and that moment marked the beginning of a beautiful life together.
Tom was a proud father to Ryan Suhaskumar, Laura Perreault, Jack Branscome, and Anna Branscome, and a loving younger brother to Pam Branscome.
He built a distinguished career in the coatings industry, serving as a Sales and Marketing Manager with expertise in both liquid and powder coatings. Among his most proud accomplishments was his key involvement in the highly successful launch of Sherwin Williams' Planet Color line of automotive paint, which included colors named in honor of each of his children.
Outside of work, Tom was a true enthusiast. He loved restoring classic cars, and he brought three 1960s Ford Mustangs to life from nearly the ground up on three separate occasions. He found joy in the craftsmanship and detail that came with each project. He was also an avid golfer and a seasoned traveler, always eager to explore new places and experiences. At home, he shared his life with two beloved dogs, Douglas and Delilah, and nurtured a deep appreciation for music. His vinyl collection reflected his eclectic taste, with favorites including The Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, and Post Malone.
Tom’s warmth, humor, and generosity touched everyone who knew him. He will be remembered not only for his accomplishments, but for the way he made others feel valued, supported, and loved.
A private memorial service will be held by invitation.
