Age 74, died Sunday afternoon, September 27, 2020 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 22, 1946 in Denver, Colorado to Earl and Freda (Hurd) Ladewig. On May 24, 1969, he married Patricia A. Wieland in Prospect Heights, Illinois.
Tim loved sports from a young age and excelled at them throughout his life. After high school, he served honorably in the United States Air Force. He continued to serve in the Air Force reserves as he began his 40-year career working for Lockheed Martin. Besides his family, his greatest love was running; he also enjoyed skiing, camping, traveling, sailing, attending his grandchildren’s events, and sharing a beer or a glass of wine with Pat on their deck as they watched the sun set.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia; two sons, Ryan (Amanda) and Erik (Kedri); four grandchildren, Emma Whitcomb, Reed, Addison, and Camden Ladewig: six siblings, Robert (Alys), Harry, James (Sandy), Duane (Jeanne), Marie, and Roy; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Melvin.
Viewing will be held 6-8 pm on Tuesday, October 6th, 2020 at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 South Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO. Masks and social distancing required.
A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, October 7th, 2020 at 11:30 at St. Louis Catholic Church, 3301 South Sherman St., Englewood, Colorado. Masks and social distancing required. Burial with full military honors will follow at 1:30 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 4400 West Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO.
