Vicki Jeanne Carlson

Vicki Jeanne Carlson (Whissen) passed away on March 7th, 2022 at the age of 67 in Centennial, Colorado. She was born to Donald Whissen and Marcia Johnson on April 4th, 1954, in Des Moines, Iowa. The family lived in different states throughout the Midwest before settling in Denver, Colorado, where Vicki graduated from South High School in 1972. Vicki enjoyed playing music on the piano and guitar and sharing this music with others. She loved going to the movies, watching game shows, and just spending time with her family where she’d laugh at jokes and have the chance to be goofy with the ones she loved. One of her favorite hobbies was creating photo albums and slideshows of her family and showing how all the different generations grew up, mixing in black and white photos with modern events. She is survived by her sister Jan Brocker (Paul Brocker), brother Bob Whissen, daughter Jennifer Cordova, son Joseph Cordova (Rebekah Cordova), and grandchildren Rain, Anna, Kat, Joaquin, Augustus, and Violet. Vicki’s family would like to thank Penny Lane/Abbey Road Assisted Living and Orchard Park Health Care Center for providing not only the care she needed, but also a home with friendship and support. Vicki’s life served a great purpose for those who knew her and loved her.

A graveside service for Vicki will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 6601 South Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121.
