Virginia Lewis 1926 to 2015. Born to George and Val Killinger in Carson, IA. She graduated from Drake University in Des Moines Iowa with a major in music. She was married to Mort Lewis until his death in 1994. Virginia was preceded in death by brother George (Bud) Killinger. Virginia is survived by her brother Phil Killinger (Ann), sister Robin Jeneary, son Win (Tonna) Lewis & daughters Sheri (Rich) Wilson, Kim (Greg) Read, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Virginia was an avid reader, loved opera and classical music, played in many bridge clubs and walked three miles a day - rain or shine. She was an amazing cook, and no one could resist her apple pie. Always brave and courageous, right to the end, she truly was an inspiration to our family and those who knew her.
Private services were held. Memorial contributions may be made to The Denver Hospice.
