She is deeply mourned by her loving partner Jack Adanti; her son Tyler Hunter and daughter Danielle Hunter; her brothers Daniel (Cindy), Peter (Jody), and Paul (Teresa); her nephews and nieces Travis, Zack, Matt, Ryan, Erin, Arielle, Kaitie, and Spencer. We are comforted that Bonnie is reunited in Heaven with her parents Howard and Barbara McKee.
Growing up in Chester, CT, Bonnie made many memories and life-long friendships at Burr Brook day camp that was owned and operated by her parents. After graduating from Lyme-Old Lyme High School in 1980, Bonnie’s love for adventure prompted her to follow her heart’s compass to pursue great company, excellent music, and exciting ventures.
Bonnie’s love for the tri town area brought her back to Deep River where she raised her children. She embraced every small-town pleasure including waving to everyone she knows at the Deep River Muster, being the number one fan of her partner Jack’s live music performances at local venues, volunteering at the Devitt Field snack shack during her kids’ sport seasons, attending Valley Regional Football games to cheer on her son, Friday night takeout from Deep River Pizza, and checking out a stack of novels from the Deep River Public Library to read.
A celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held on Saturday, January 11th at 11AM at the Deep River Congregational Church with a reception to follow at the Deep River Ambulance Association.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her memory to Smilow Cancer Hospital, American Kidney Fund, the Deep River Congregational Church, or Shut the Door Farm Rescue via Venmo @Sarah-Fowler-1970.
