Elizabeth Gage Ellis Watkins, 87, of Chester, Connecticut, daughter of Elizabeth and Gage Ellis, died at her home in Chester on January 5 after a long illness. She is survived by her daughter Willoughby Adams and son-in-law Brian Adams of Richmond, Virginia and daughter Alexandra Matthiessen and son-in-law John Matthiessen of Ivoryton, Connecticut; her grandchildren Elizabeth and Charlotte Adams of Richmond and George and Zoe Matthiessen of Ivoryton; as well as her sister Willoughby Royce of Wilmington, North Carolina. Liz was a graduate of the Shipley School and Sarah Lawrence College. She worked as a travel agent in New York, Boston, and Lyme, Connecticut. Liz loved music, travelling, reading, and enjoying an evening with friends and family. Services will be private.
