

Betty was preceded in death by the love of her life Cesario Fred “Skeets” Tremalgia, her parents Martin and Mary Corradi Lanzi, and siblings Irma, Jesse, Herman and Martin Lanzi. She is survived by her five children: Robert (Nancy) of Durham, NC, Ellen (Bill) Dingwell of South Dartmouth, MA, Nancy (Jeffrey) Scharf of Yardley, PA, Fred (Denise) of Chester, CT, and Mark (Kelley), Burbank, CA, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Betty graduated from Chester High School in 1944. She worked at the Stark Insurance Agency for many years. She was an active member of St. Joseph’s Church and was a member of the church choir for over 78 years and a frequent soloist. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Goodspeed Opera House. Throughout her life, she was involved in many Chester events. She was once crowned queen of the Chester Rotary Fest. More than anything, she loved being with family and friends and always appreciated a good laugh.
The family would like to thank Visiting Nurses of the Lower Valley, especially Alliana and Kerri, Middlesex Health Hospice Care, her home caregivers, and her many neighbors and friends.
Visitations will be held on Sunday, March 24, 4 to 6 p.m. at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 25 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 48 Middlesex Avenue, Chester. Burial will follow in the Fountain Hill Cemetery in Deep River.
