

John Vincent Mislick Sr. 90, born on March 10, 1933 in Middletown Connecticut to Marie Becker Mislick and Charles John Mislick, passed away after a brief illness on December 26, 2023. John resided in Deep River most of his life. He attended school in Chester Ct and joined the army where he received a medical discharge. He later worked and became a partner at Madison Arco which became Madison Service Center until he retired in 1998. John loved to take pictures from a young age and shared his photo albums along with the stories that went with them. He loved cars and had many from old classics to new and enjoyed fixing things out in his garage.
His family will remember him as a man who valued hard work, honesty, and the value of a person’s word. To his children he was a great role model. He made sure to instill his values on them as well as the importance of an education. To his wife, he was loving and caring. They were inseparable. They worked hard to build their family and a loving home. He was Papa to the grand and great grandchildren whom he adored.
John is survived by his daughters: Flo Zaremba (Richard) and Diana Bedell, daughter in Law, Denise Mislick: 6 Grandchildren, Derek Zaremba {Michele}, Liza Krider {Howard} ,Danielle Mislick {Bradley}, Joshua Mislick {Jennifer}, Cory Mislick and Carley Bedell, 5 Great Grandchildren, Isabella, Madelyn, Torren, Brynden and Kash, 2 sister’s, Victoria Bressan and Ann McQuigan and many nieces and nephews.
John also leaves behind his Kirtland Commons family where he has lived the past 6 years, a wonderful community with an amazing group of people who always looked out for each other.
Predeceased by the love of his life, his wife, Myrtle F Mislick of 68 years. They were a true love story. His son John V. Mislick Jr., Sister Rose Turner, and brother Charles Mislick.
