

Margaret (Tinti) Rosa, 96, passed away peacefully at home with her children on March 9, 2024, after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Carmen Rosa. Margaret was born on April 3, 1927 in Simsbury, CT. She graduated from Berlin High School and Saint Mary’s School of Nursing in 1949. She worked as a surgical nurse in the operating room for several years and later worked as an evening supervisor at Wolcott View Manor. Margaret lived most of her life in Wolcott, CT and was a devout and faithful parishioner of St Pius Church. Margaret did volunteer work for the church and was a member of the Ladies Guild. She enjoyed group tours to different states and loved the trip to Italy. Margaret loved to cook and bake; she took pride in decorating her delicious cakes. Margaret lived with her daughter in Chester for the last 10 years and found great comfort in her grand dog, Teddy.
In addition to her husband, Carmen, Margaret is predeceased by her sisters, Lenora Giana, Anna Weatherbee, and Josephine Guerrera. Margaret is survived by her son, Mark Rosa and his wife, Bel Forte, of Wallingford, her daughter, Regina Rosa, of Chester, her grandchildren, Katelyn Rosa and her fiancé, Richard DaSilva, her grandson, James Rosa, and many generations of nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 48 Middlesex Avenue, Chester, CT. Memorial contributions in Margaret’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
