It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of Mark Segretario on January 7th, 2026. Mark was born on March 31, 1954. Mark has been part of the Brian House community since 1984, it will be hard to imagine our community without him.
Mark brought joy into our lives through his kindness, his gentle presence, and that familiar smile we all came to know so well. Many of us share memories that span decades—from trips to Maine, to time spent working at Aetna and Pat’s Kountry Kitchen, to the simple happiness of seeing Mark on his swing, content and at peace.
Mark took great pride in caring for his home and his responsibilities. Whether it was folding laundry or washing dishes, he approached his work with care, the utmost dedication, and a smile. His strong work ethic and tender spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Mark enjoyed attending Mass weekly at Saint Joseph’s Church in Chester.
While we feel the deep sadness of his loss, I hope we can also reflect on the memories we shared and the ways Mark touched our lives. Please take time to share stories, laughter, and moments of remembrance as we honor Mark and the place he holds in our community.
Mark leaves behind his beloved friends and family of Brian House, Inc. and AVP, Inc. as well as his longtime friends and guardians Raymond and Gail Gill of Deep River, Connecticut. Mark enjoyed spending holidays and special events with the Gill family.
Funeral Arrangements are in the care of Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, Centerbrook, Connecticut.
