Matthew J. O'Reilly

O’Reilly, Matthew J. passed away at home in Centereach surrounded by his family on March 4, 2012. Matthew was a proud World War II veteran having served in the United States Army. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Philomena. Matthew and Philomena were parishioners of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church since 1954 and attened daily mass often.. They had four children, a daughter Cecelia Roberts and her husband Keith, and three sons, Dennis and his wife Ann, Brian and his wife Susan and Matthew and his wife Tracey. Matthew is the cherished poppa of Erin Schule, Allison Savio, Devin O'Reilly, Daniel O'Reilly, Caitlin O'Reilly, Brian O'Reilly Jr., Michael O'Reilly, Jeremiah O'Reilly, Jamison O'Reilly, Matthew O'Reilly, Brenna O'Reilly and his great grandchildren Jordan Schule, Jenna Schule, Regan Schule, Mia Savio, Connor Savio and Chase Savio. He is also survived by his loving sisters Helen Hunter and Ann Savoca. Reposing Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 2326 Middle Country Rd. Centereach. His Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday 9:45 A.M. at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C Church. Interment will follow Calverton National Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations in memory of Matthew to the St. Jude’s Chidren Hospital or The Lustgarten Foundation appreciated.
