

Born and raised on October 22, 1967 in Whitestone, New York, Stephen was the beloved son of the late Theresa and Patrick Cartolano. He was the devoted husband of Ann Cartolano and the proud father of Stephen (Val), Christopher (Gaby) and Patrick Cartolano. Loved brother of Susan Cartolano, Laura Capozzi (Emil) and Barbara Farrell (Bill). Predeceased by his sister Patricia Plunkett.
Cherished son-in-law to Nancy and the late Ignazio Alamia. Adored brother-in-law to Steven Alamia (Erika), George Alamia (Nicole), David Alamia (Kristen), and Connie Alamia, and treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Steve’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He especially cherished golfing with his sons and visiting new places with his wife, Ann. His calm, kind, and humble nature left a lasting impression on people in his community, especially his friends and the friends of his children.
Steve’s built a successful career with Ernst & Young, where he worked for 28 years. He was deeply respected by his colleagues for his professionalism, integrity, and warmth.
Steve will be remembered for his quick wit, steady presence, and the deep love he had for his family. His laughter, encouragement, and example of quiet strength will be missed beyond measure.

A visitation will be held at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, located at 2326 Middle Country Road, Centereach, NY 11720, on October 29, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will take place at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church of Smithtown, N.Y., situated at 280 E Main St, Smithtown, NY 11787, on October 30, 2025, from 9:45 am to 10:45 am.
The committal service will be held at Washington Memorial Park, Cemetery, Mount Sinai, NY 11766, on October 30, 2025, from 11:45 am to 12:00 pm.
