Edward Lee Carpenter

Edward “Lee” Carpenter is a native of Central, Louisiana. He passed away September 5, 2021 at 1:25 p.m. Lee was one of the most kindhearted people around and is loved by many. He loved to garden, fix anything broken, and spend time with his family and friends; especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Judge and Kit Carpenter and Harry and Lorrene Gould; father, Patrick Davis Moore; and his brother, “Baby Boy” Carpenter. He is survived by his mother, Harriett Ann Moore; significant other, Deborah Winter; sister, Charlie Friend; daughter, Katie Carpenter; and fiancé, Darrell Henson; daughter, Tara Sturgeon (Daniel); and grandchildren, Ian and Owen Sturgeon; daughter, Lesleigh Carpenter; and grandchildren, Princeton and Kingsley; son, Brad Lindley; and grandchildren, Lincoln, Hannah, and Benjamin.

Our love for him is everlasting. He was the best son, dad, paw paw, friend, and companion we could have ever asked for, and we will miss him every minute of every day.

A visitation will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 12 p.m. located at Central Funeral Home, 9995 Hooper Rd., Central, LA.
