Far too soon, Ethan has joined grandfathers David E. Gerald Jr. and Tommy Frazier. Ethan will be missed everyday by his four legged daughter Cali, father David Gerald, mother Rhonda Gerald, sister Mikayla O’Neal, brother Austin Gerald, grandparents LJ and Barbara Thomassie, grandmother Marie Frazier, grandmother Linda Gerald, special friend Bailie Johnson, his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many great friends.
Ethan attended Zachary High School where he graduated in 2017. He then went on to learn the electrician trade just as his father and late grandfather did. He was a hard worker, wasn’t afraid to get dirty and there wasn’t anything that he couldn’t fix. He currently was a technician at Swagelok Custom Solutions. From an early age Ethan has always loved sports and the outdoors. There wasn’t a tree he couldn’t climb or a fish he couldn’t catch. You could find him on any given weekend fishing for redfish or sitting in a deer stand or duck blind. He was a true Louisiana Sportsman that bled purple and gold for his LSU tigers.
Those who knew Ethan loved him. It was his laughter and kind heart that touched so many people in his life. He was the sunshine on your darkest day. He was the listening ear when you needed a friend, and he always went out of his way to help people. His presence in our lives will be deeply missed.
When you think of Ethan, celebrate the good memories you have of him, and remember to spread goodness and light just as he did.
A celebration of his beautiful life will be held with a visitation on Friday, May 6th 5-9pm at Central Funeral Home 9995 Hooper Rd., Central, LA, and a visitation on Saturday, May 7th 9-11am at Fellowship Church Zachary on 1555 Mount Pleasant Blvd., Zachary, LA with service to follow. Honorary pallbearers are Austin Gerald, Sean Toellner, Blake O’Neal, Tyler Guillory, Joe Knutson, Kolton Jacobs, Hayden Dickerson and Ronnie Gill.
