

"I know Whom I have believed," 2 Timothy 1:12. Leatrice Diane Albin Thompson, 75, of Central, Louisiana, went to be with her Heavenly Father peacefully surrounded by family on March 6, 2026. Born in Independence, Louisiana on March 17, 1950, she dedicated her life to her family and to the Lord. She taught at Denham Road Christian School from 1979 until it closed. She loved teaching Sunday School, shopping, and doting on her grandchildren.
Diane is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, David Thompson of Central, daughter Kim Saia (John) of Baton Rouge, son Donald Thompson, Sr (Lori) of Walker, grandchildren Donald Thompson Jr (Devin), Dalton Thompson (Lexy), and Daniel Thompson, great-grandchildren Dean, Duke, Luke, and Heather Thompson, and many other dear relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by parents Donald and Gloria Whiddon Albin, father and mother-in-law Charles and Alma Jordan Thompson, brother-in-law and sister Terry and Annette Albin Stevens, grandparents Davis and Leevell Barnes Whiddon, Daniel and Bessie Bishop Albin, cherished pet Pepper, and numerous other relatives.
Visitation will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church, 14512 Greenwell Springs Road, Greenwell Springs, LA on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 10am-12pm. Funeral service is at noon, officiated by Pastor Mardy Guidry. Followed by a committal service at Louisiana National Cemetery, 303 W. Mount Pleasant Zachary Rd, Zachary, LA at 2pm. Pallbearers will be Donald Thompson, Jr., Dalton Thompson, Daniel Thompson, Terry Whiddon, Ronnie Whiddon, and Austin Friloux.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to our church family at Fellowship Baptist Church, the nurses at Pinnacle Hospice, Mrs. Mary for helping us take care of mom in her time of need, and family, neighbors, and friends for your prayers.
