Don Harmon passed away on December 12, 2020 at the age of 76. Don leaves behind his wife and high school sweetheart, Loretta Lucas Harmon of 56 years; one son, Coleman Terrell Harmon; one daughter, Donna Jo Harmon. Don was a deacon at Faith Baptist Church in West Blocton. He was an educator in the Bibb County School system for 28 years. He held a degree in Biology from Livingston University, also a Masters Degree in Secondary Administration and AA Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Montevallo. He was also an avid lover of the outdoors. He loved to hunt and enjoyed life on the farm and in the woods. He always tried to share his love of nature with his students.
Graveside services will be held at West Scottsville Methodist Cemetery Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 2:00PM with Rev. Doug Eads and Pastor Bill Johnston presiding.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Samaritan's Purse.
