Judith Gail Hobson

Judith Gail Hobson, age 65, of Centreville, Alabama gained her angel wings on Monday April 13, 2020. Judith was born September 9, 1954. She is survived by her daughters Kathy Sudsberry and Amanda Wiggins, both of Brent; grandchildren, Mikayla Sudsberry, Malorie Sudsberry and Madison Gilbert; one great grandson, Coalson Crawford; one sister, Melissa Mayfield; five brothers, Robert Stone, Larry Hobson, Joseph Hobson, Richmond Brady "Dick" Hobson and Raymond Hobson and host of nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Richmond Brady Hobson and Rachel Stone Hobson; three sisters Dorothy McClellan, Barbara Middleton and Carolyn Ramsey. To many she was known as "Granny" including her "adoptive grandchildren" Breanna Pence, Monica Pence, Samantha Grace Dunkin, Keely Finnen and Mikayla Finnen.

Judith was a resident at Bibb Medical Center Nursing Home where she spent her days greeting everyone that passed her room with a huge smile and a loud hello. Her sweet soul was quick to bring a smile to everyone's face. She was a member of Brent Presbyterian Church. Her church family is part of her heart and she loved them dearly.

Judith was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Bibb Medical Center Nursing Home for many years until she became disabled. She found her true calling when helping to teach pre-school at Kracker-Jax Daycare in Brent. Her love for children, especially her grands and great grand, was undeniable and made for very precious memories.

A private visitation for Judith was held Friday, April 17, 2020 followed by graveside service at Pondville Cemetery. Pastor Mitch Haubert officiating. Pallbearers were T.J. Crawford, Adam McClellan, Tim Pence, Richard Finnen and Russell McClellan. Honorary Pallbearers are John B. Waits, Staff of Cahaba Medical Care, Bibb Medical Center Nursing Home, Bibb Medical Center Hospital and AmServ.
