Larry Joe Jackson

Larry Joe Jackson age 67, of Brent entered into rest on May 9, 2016 at Hospice of West Alabama. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 2 PM at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel in Centreville with Rockco Funeral Home directing and Bro. Mark Smith officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Burial will take place at Pineland Memorial Cemetery following the service.

He is survived by his two brothers; Buddy Jackson of Wetumpka, Alabama; Chunky Jackson (Donna) of Brent, Alabama; three sisters; Kay Broadhead of Calera, Alabama; Rita Carlee (Shorty) of Maplesville, Alabama; Deloris Hobson of Brent, Alabama; one granddaughter Jeneesa Jackson; one daughter-in-law, Jacinda Jackson of Houston, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Lee Jackson; mother, Sarah Caffee; wife, Carol Jean Jackson; and one son, Tommy B. Jackson.

Pallbearers are Sherwood McMillan, Shorty Carlee, Mike Greene, Robert Payton, Ronnie “Muff” Miskelley, and Larry “Scooter” Compton.

Honorary pallbearers are Mike and Buddy Jackson and Joey Carlee.

Larry worked for the Texas Highway Department for many years and did consulting work for the City of Hoover. He enjoyed volunteering for the Police Department, music, animals and staying involved with his family.

We will miss Larry’s charming ways, good stories, and mostly his love.
