Mr. Schaefer entered into rest at his residence after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Schaefer; son, Gregg Schaefer, Sr.(Jackie); daughters, Monica Schaefer Metty (Phillip) and Marcie Schaefer; sons, Derick R. Slack(Kimberley) and Chad W. Slack(Tiffany); daughter in law, Deanna O'Conner; 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sons, Gary E. Schaefer and Jeremiah A. Strickland and his brother, Russell Schaefer. In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society for Research.
