Roselynn Medders Pittman, 73, entered Heaven on May 17, 2021. She was born April 12, 1948 in Tuscaloosa, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Grover Cleveland Pittman (Buster), together with her parents: Vernon Sherwood Medders and Marguerite Cottingham Medders, and one brother Dan Sherwood Medders. Roselynn is survived by her son, Chad Pittman (Renee), step-daughter, Vickie Caine, grandchildren Lindsey Hogue (Sam), Chelsie Locke, Chandler Chavis, Chad Austin Pittman and Jaxen Pittman, and great grandchildren Alan and Aiden Locke, Conner and Chance Chavis and Max Hogue. She is also survived by many family members and friends near and far.
Roselynn was a member of The Bibb County Class of 1965 and attended Brenau University. She studied education at the University of Alabama, Class of 1969, and received her master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Montevallo. Roselynn taught school and was a school counselor for many years. Traveling, reading, and Alabama football were some of her many passions. She loved her friends and family but would most want to be remembered as someone who put her faith and trust in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Roselynn was a blessing to those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be held at Centreville Baptist Church on May 25th from 12:00PM - 1:00PM with the funeral service starting at 1:00PM. Rev. Ken Fuller presiding. Burial will be private, (Family only).
