

Sharon Ford, age 49, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away on Sunday January 8th, 2023. Sharon was born on February 15th, 1973 to Willy Norwood Smith and Nellie Lavada Carroll Smith in Columbiana, Alabama.
In 1989, Sharon met Billy in Demopolis, Alabama. They married on March 31st, 1990. Sharon and Billy went on to have three daughters, Tiffany, Ashley, and Heather. Sharon was a stay at home mother who dedicated her life to her children. She was an exceptional wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family, friends, and neighbors. To know Sharon, was to love her. She radiated joy wherever she went. Her husband often said she had a heart the size of Texas. She was kind to everyone she knew, and is remembered by many as very caring and giving of herself.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Billy, of 32 years; and their children, Tiffany Langs (Mason), Ashley Canada (Taylor), and Heather Travis (Cameron). She was a wonderful and extremely proud Nana to her grandchildren, Norah Grace, Blake, and Beau.
Sharon also leaves behind 5 brothers and 2 sisters, Will Norwood Smith Jr. (Kay), Ann Stagner (David), David Smith (Nancy), Ronnie Smith (Rebecca), Sherry Smith, Bobby Smith (Lisa), and Alan Smith (Dena). She has several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews whom she loved dearly as well.
Sharon is preceded in death by her father, Willy Norwood Smith; her mother, Nellie Lavada Smith; and her brother, James Smith.
Sharon met the love of her life when she was only 17 years old. They went on to share 33 years of beautiful memories together. She will be so greatly missed and remembered for a life of love and service to her family and friends.
A visitation for Sharon will be held Friday, January 13, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Rockco Funeral Home, 805 Birmingham Rd, Centreville, Alabama 35042, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Teresa Viramontez will officiate.
Sharon will be laid to rest in Greenpond Cemetery, West Blocton, AL. Serving as pallbearers will be: Mason Langs, Cameron Travis, Taylor Canada, Justin Freeman, Paul Robertson, and Tyler Smith.
