Darren entered into rest at Hospice of West Alabama. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Deborah Mitchell; daughters, Kaitlyn Craver(Brett), Allison Mitchell and Chloe Mitchell; mother, Oleta Mitchell; brother, Kerry Mitchell(Elizabeth); sister and brother in law, Kay and William McAfee; nieces and nephews, John McAfee, Will McAfee, Ruth Ann Mitchell, Hannah Mitchell and Silas Mitchell. He is preceded in death by his father, William Jewell "Punk" Mitchell.
