Alan Edwin Wust Jr., of Meraux, Louisiana, entered into Heaven on Sunday, August 15, 2021, after battling stage four gastric cancer. He was 39 years old. He was the adoring husband of Stephanie Riche Wust, and the loving and devoted father of Brady and Brenna; cherished son of Alan and Aleasia Wust; beloved brother of the late Aaron Wust; grandson of the late John and Eola Mohr and Merle and Charlie Faurie; cherished son-in-law of Karen Benezech and Kirt Stall; brother-in-law of Stacy and Ryan Roy, Tracy and Brad Triche, and Patrick Stall; Godson of the late Eola Boudoin; beloved nephew of Ronnie and Angie Roy; cousin of Aleasia Rizzuto Stall and Ryan Roy; and proud Godfather of Christian Lill, Remy Roy and Shay Roy. He will also be dearly missed by the Savoie Family, the Sander Family, the Rebar Family, the Riche Family, the Benezech family, the Tavlin Family, and many other relatives and devoted friends.
Alan married Stephanie on May 27, 2011, and he cherished spending time with her and their family. Whether at the ballpark or Disney World, the beach, the camp, or the pool, he loved spending time with the people he loved - both family and friends. But, his greatest joy in life was watching his children grow. He was never happier than when fishing and hunting with Brady or seeing Brenna shine as she danced on stage. He will forever be remembered as a loving father who made sure he spent every moment he could with his children.
Al attended Hannan High School, graduated from the University of New Orleans, and ended his career as a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Netchex. He was a wonderful man, husband, father, and friend, and he will be forever loved and deeply missed by those he leaves behind.
The family extends a sincere debt of gratitude to MD Anderson Cancer Center, the Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center at Ochsner, Dr. Suma Satti, M.D., and Guardian Angel Hospice, for the unwavering care and support given to Alan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a gathering on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2320 Paris Road, in Chalmette, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. A memorial mass will begin in Alan's memory at 12:00 PM.
