Albin Cyril King

Albin Cyril King went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at the age of 93. Albin was a resident of St. Bernard Parish for over 50 years until Hurricane Katrina relocated him to Baton Rouge, LA. Husband of the late Gloria Johnsen King. Father of seven children: Sheryn King Hahn, Carol King Cazeaux, Diane King Lacour (Craig), Jill Judith King, Stephen (Debbie), Kenneth (Dianne) and Larry (Pam) King; thirteen grandchildren and twenty- three great-grandchildren. Son of the late William King and Susana Fruchtnicht King. Brother of the late Warren King and Raymond King. Albin was a retiree from the New Orleans Police Department and was head of security at the Royal Sonesta Hotel and the Holiday Inn Downtown New Orleans. He was a very proud Veteran serving his country in the US Navy during World War ll. Many thanks to Nottingham Regional Rehab Center and especially his favorite nurse, Dionne, for making his last few years very comfortable. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest with military honors in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
