Andrew H. Deffes Jr., also known as “AJ” or “Tota” passed away on October 7, 2022 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Lee C. Oelking for over 30 years. Proud father to Andrea Marie Deffes (Dan) and Annette Rachel Deffes (Wade); grandfather to Darren M. O’Connor Jr. and Joshua J. Anglada; great grandfather to Layla Mae Anglada and Blakely Olivia O’Connor. Caring brother to Barbara Ann Daigle (George). He is preceded in death by his parents, Angela Tardo Deffes and Andrew Herbert Deffes Sr.
Andrew worked as a Longshoreman Local 3000 for 38 years on the Riverfront in New Orleans, LA. He enjoyed fishing, his old cars, motorcycles and playing pool. His greatest joy was spending time with his beautiful wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends. He will be truly missed by us all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 9:00 AM- 11:00 AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens
