Anthony "Tony" Casteglia IV, age 52, of Meraux, LA, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025. A lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish, Tony was known for his kind heart, sharp sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty to the people he loved. He is survived by his parents, Rose and Anthony Casteglia; his sister, Rose Casteglia; his niece and nephew, Sophia Bevans and William Bevans.
He retired from the St. Bernard Water Board after over 30 years of dedicated service as an operator. His work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to his job left a lasting impact on his coworkers and community. Though he never married, Tony found joy and fulfillment in the deep bonds he shared with his family and close friends. He had a special way of making everyone feel welcomed and valued, often becoming the life of every gathering. A passionate dart player, he spent countless hours playing. His competitive spirit was matched only by his generosity and sportsmanship. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on through the stories shared, the games played in his honor, and the enduring love of his family and friends.
