Ashley Christina Pomes, mother and homemaker, passed away on Monday June 16, 2014. Graduate of Archbishop Hannan High School class of 2001 and Elaine P. Nunez Community College. She was the beloved daughter of Louis Pomes and Tina Catalano Pomes. Devoted mother of Hayden Louis Pomes Edwards and London Ray Alverez. Granddaughter Donald Pomes and Pearl Nehlig Nassar and of the late Mary Smith Catalano and Tony Catalano, Sr. Great granddaughter of Marion Pomes and the late Louis Pomes. Sister of Rachel Mennesses Tucker and Randi Mennesses. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and great friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, St. Bernard, Louisiana. A reception to celebrate Ashley’s life will follow at St. Bernard Catholic Church – Iverson Hall.
