

She is survived by her son, Calvin Louis "Denny" Schenck; her grandson, Nicholas Odinet Schenck; her great-grandson, Nicholas Odinet Schenck, Jr. (Chanelle); her great-granddaughter, Elle Olivia Schenck; her great-grandson, Calvin Louis Schenck, III; her great-granddaughter, Emma Claire Schenck; her brother, Kenneth L. "Candy" Odinet, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, the late Calvin Louis Schenck; her granddaughter, the late Elizabeth Ford Schenck; her mother, the late Mary Veronica Hammel; her father, the late Bertrand L. Odinet; her sisters, the late Frances Odinet Dauterive and Dorothea Odinet Bridges; and by her brother, the late Bertrand Albert Odinet.
Ms. Audrey, as she was known to her students, taught dancing for 62 years at her school, The Audrey Odinet Schenck School of Dance. During that time, she taught up to 4 generations of many families. She was a member of Dance Masters of America, Louisiana Dance Masters, Dance Educators, and the Business and Professional Women's Club of St. Bernard. While in the BPW, she earned St. Bernard Woman of the Year. Ms. Audrey is also known as the founder of the Chalmette High School dance group, "The Charmers." Devoted and passionate, Ms. Audrey directly improved her community's youth for generations to come. She shared with us her gifts of creativity, focus, and discipline. Her powerful way with the world has been an incredible inspiration to us all. She will be missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. It is without a doubt that Ms. Audrey will dance on in our hearts forever. Funeral services for Ms. Audrey will be held privately.
