Bonnie Kennedy Dielenschneider passed away at her home on Monday, March 7, 2016 at the age of 80. She was born in St. Joseph, MO and was a longtime resident of the Chalmette area. Bonnie was the cherished wife of the late Lionel Joseph Dielenschneider for 52 years. Loving mother of Wayne J. Dielenschneider and his wife Yanni and the late Eric A. Dielenschneider. Daughter of the late Byron and Juanita Bitting Kennedy. Sister of the late Myron Kennedy. Proud grandmother of Michael Dielenschneider, Victoria Dielenschneider and Cassandra Dielenschneider who brought her great joy in her later years. Also survived by aunts and cousins who live in Nebraska and Chalmette. Bonnie was a member of TOPS and the Eastern Star Masonic Order. She loved good food, socializing, cooking and casinos on the Gulf Coast. Her smile will be missed and she will be forever remembered by all who knew her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM and on Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
