Brenda Salande Fields

Brenda Salande Fields passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the age of 64. Loving mother of Jenniffer Dorand (David), Stephen Frechou Jr. (Sherry) and Christopher Frechou. Daughter of the late James Jack Salande Sr. and Joycelyn Hill Salande. Sister of Joseph Salande (Laurie) and James Jack Salande Jr. (Theresa). Proud grandmother of Riley Frechou, Madison Frechou, Haydon Fields, Charoloette Guillian and Hudson Frechou. She is also survived by her furever babies Max and Missy and her furever grandbabies George, Pookie and Fernando.

Brenda was born on August 8, 1954 in New Orleans, LA. She was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish and currently of Slidell, LA. Brenda graduated from the University of Holy Cross was proudly named to the Dean’s list. She was passionate about teaching and also a creative poet and artist. She was a great mom and strong woman who taught us the importance of family bonds and loyal friends. She will be deeply missed by her family and by all those whose lives she touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A Memorial Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will be private.
