Brenda Lavonne Owens Veitch passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the age of 72. She was the beloved wife of James Stanley Veitch. Loving mother of Amanda Ann Veitch (Rene J. Martinez) and James Leland Veitch. Daughter of the late Leland Lavon Owens and Bobbie Nell Sullivan (the late John McKamy). Sister of the late Paula Shotwell. Proud grandmother of Brandi Nichole Martinez (Cameron LeBouef) and Daniel Rene Martinez. Great grandmother of Madison Grace Lebouef and Cason Cameron Lebouef. Niece of the late Bradys Owens and George Landry Jr.
Brenda was born on September 11, 1948 in Magee, MS and was a current resident of Slidell, LA. She was a proud member of Red Hat Society and Bayou Liberty Garden Club. She will be forever remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all of those whose lives she touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
