Carol Francis Sanchez

Carol Francis Penney Sanchez passed away peacefully on Monday, August 14, 2017 at the age of 80. She was the cherished wife of 35 years to Vincent Sanchez Jr. Loving mother of Nicole Hubbard, Craig Hubbard, Angela Hubbard and the late Carl Hubbard and Wayne Hubbard. Daughter of the late William and Jeanne Adams Penney. Sister of Steve Penney (Rose), Randal Penney (Audrey), David Penney and the late William Penney Jr. and Donald Penney. Proud grandmother of Sabastian Schlosser, Isabella Schlosser, Chad Rome, Ian Hubbard, Christian Hubbard, Destiny Hubbard, Seth Hubbard and Megan Hubbard. She is also survived and fondly remembered by her 3 great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Carol was born in Lockport, LA and was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. She truly enjoyed life through her quiet pleasures of gardening, volunteering at both St. Alphonsus Church & Blessed Francis Seelos Church, along with her amazing hand-crafted ceramic dolls and dresses. She was well loved, cared deeply for others and will be deeply missed by all who were touched by her love, kindness, laughter and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday, August 21st from 10:00AM – 12:00PM, followed by a Funeral Mass in Carol’s memory beginning at 12:00PM. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
