Catherine Mascaro Baggett

Catherine Mascaro Baggett passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, September 26, 2014 at the age of 86. She was the cherished wife of the late Obie “Jimmy” Baggett for 50 years. Loving mother of Obie “Chip” Donald Baggett (Susan) and Kathleen “Kathy” Roussel. Daughter of the late Ralph and May Joffray Mascaro. Sister of Joseph Mascaro (Elizabeth) and the late Ralph Mascaro, Anthony Mascaro, Lawrence Mascaro, George Mascaro, Mae Mascaro and Vivian Waguespack. Proud grandmother of Brad Fals Jr., Lawrence Baggett and Joseph “Joey” Baggett (Brittney). Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Catherine was a native of New Orleans, LA and a long time resident of Arabi, LA. She served on the Board of Directors for Operation Merry Christmas, Chalmette, LA. Catherine was a devoted volunteer at St. Maurice Catholic Church and the American Red Cross – St. Bernard Chapter. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
