Chad Christopher Meyers

Chad Christopher Meyers, beloved son of Gretchen Schott Black and Emile Meyers, Jr., stepson of Cary Black, passed on January 15, 2023 at the age of 38. In addition to his parents, Chad is the loving brother of Jude Meyers (Lara), Justin Meyers (Andre) and Michelle Muscarello (Josh). He is the cherished grandson of Marilyn Schott. Chad adores his Godson & nephew, Trey Meyers. He is also the proud uncle of Remy Meyers, Olivia & Emilia Muscarello, Blake and Jake Meyers. He treasured his many friends who are also his “brothers.” In addition, Chad is the loving step-brother of Sean (Samantha), Kaeson and Jillian Black, nephew of Susan & David Vignes, Daniel Schott, Jr., and Sandra Schott. Chad’s loving grandparents, Granny Gloria & Paw Paw Emile Meyers, Sr., and Paw Paw Dan Schott, Sr. passed years ahead of Chad. His beautiful fur-baby and best friend, Kook “Kookado”, loves his Dad.

One big bucket of love, Chad adored his family & friends, reveled in peace and exuded love wherever he went and with whomever he met. Though Chad crossed over much too soon, his presence and spirit will forever be constant in our lives. Chad helped create so many fun memories and enjoyed great times with his many cousins, other relatives and lots of loved ones too numerous to mention. He was loved by all who knew him and his smile will forever be one of everyone's fondest memories. In honor of Chad, please always remember to spread peace, kindness, respect, encouragement, and above all, LOVE! ….. and GO SAINTS!

In lieu of flowers, the family would love for you to share with us memories, cards or photos of yourself and Chad. A collection basket will be provided for these wonderful keepsakes.

Please join us in celebrating Chad’s very memorable life at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, January 27th from 10:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a chapel service honoring Chad beginning at 1:00PM.
