

Charles “Charlie” David Coleman passed away peacefully on October 3, 2020 surrounded by family while in his favorite recliner chair at the age of 65. Charlie was born on February 24, 1955, and was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Marianne Rizzuto Coleman. He was the loving father of Katie McNab (Michael) and proud grandfather of Riley McNab. He began his career working for Domino Sugar Refinery but spent most of his career as a Parts Manager for Lamarque Ford, Bill Watson Ford, Advantage Ford and most recently Veterans Ford. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing, traveling with family and just spending time with his loyal puppy Buddy Bear. He will be deeply missed by family and many friends who called on him daily for car parts, advice or just to enjoy a good conversation with their fiiend while sitting on his swing. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Ellen Witham (George), Laura Coleman, Margaret Schenck (Paul), Linda “Chi Chi” Nuschler, and Karen Harden (Del), his brothers Howard “Butch” Coleman (Diane), and Christopher Coleman (Tina), his sister- in-law Diane Fourtunia and his brother-in-law Mark Rizzuto. He was preceded in death by his father Granville Coleman, his mother Anna Belle Coleman, his sister Sharon “Sis Sue” Juhasz (Roy), and his brother Donald “Donnie” Coleman. The family would like to thank everyone who came and visited with Charlie in his last days and especially the caring stafl‘ at Guardian Angel Hospice. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 2320 Paris Road, Chalmette, LA 70043, on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, with a Funeral Mass beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider requesting prayers be said in Charlie’s name at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, or by making a donation to Guardian Angel Hospice, 825 N. Little Farms Avenue, Suite D, Metairie, LA 70003. Charlie has requested that his burial be private.
