Christopher "Chris" Charles Blappert III

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Charles " Chris" Blappert III, age 60, a beloved father, stepfather, son, brother, grandfather, and devoted companion, who left us on April 28, 2025. Born on March 27, 1965, Chris spent his life doing what he loved most, with his family, building classic muscle cars, fishing in peaceful waters, and hunting in the great outdoors. He had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures and passed down his love of craftsmanship and nature to those around him. For over 25 years, he shared a strong and loving bond with his partner and best friend, Rebecca, who stood by his side through life’s many journeys. His children and stepchildren knew him as a steady, guiding presence, someone who was always there with support, wisdom, or a joke to lighten the moment. As a grandfather, he beamed with pride and joy, cherishing every moment spent with his grandchildren.

Chris is survived by his loving companion Rebecca; his children, Brandon, Bradley, Nicholas and Christian; his stepchildren, Jana, Jeremy and Lauren Deal and his 11 grandchildren; his parents, Christopher and Carol Blappert Jr.; his sisters, Lisa Garitty (Wayne) and Jamie Blappert and many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss his warm heart, strong hands, and generous spirit.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 9:00AM- 11:00 AM. A funeral will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
