Donald Richard Cantrell went home to be with Jesus on Monday, October 20, 2014 at the age of 84 years old. He was the cherished husband of Joyce Chevolleau Cantrell for 17 years. Loving and devoted stepfather of Joycelin Kimbell and the late Erline Mozier Ohler. Son of the late Peter and Katherine Seardino Cantrell. Brother of the late Shirley Cantrell Clavier and Anthony “Wimpy” Cantrell. Proud grandfather of Bruce Ohler (Lisa), Lawrence Ohler (Monica), Jason Lobo, Jared Osterhold and the late Jerry Osterhold. Great grandfather of Bruce Ohler Jr (Lisa), Blake Ohler, Taylor Ohler and Adriana Ohler. Great great grandfather of Justin Ohler and Sophia Ohler. Also survived by many of nieces and nephews. Donald was a US Army Veteran and proudly served his country during the Korean War. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of St. Bernard Parish for 75 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
