Doris Roberts Michon

Doris Roberts Michon was born on July 9, 1930 in New Orleans, LA. She became a resident of Arabi, LA in St. Bernard Parish in 1963 where she remained until her death on August 24, 2015. Doris graduated from F. T. Nicholls Highs School. She married Edward Michon in 1952 and was a beloved wife and mother to Deborah Michon Graham (m. Martin Graham) and Jenny Michon. She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Eric and Edna Roberts; her brothers Charles and Theodore Roberts; her sister Evelyn Reuther; and their spouses: Josie Roberts, Mary Roberts, and Theodore "Jr." Reuther. Doris is survived by her brother Malcolm Roberts and her sister Janet Hebert, their spouses Annie Roberts and Harold Hebert, and sister-in-law Margaret Cooney, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She will be greatly missed by her four grandchildren, Stacey Smith, Susan Goff, Sheley Harp and Keith Smith and their spouses Kevin Goff, Eric Harp, and Samantha Smith. Doris was the proud great grandma "Big Maw Maw" of Maia, Hall, Gavin, Pyper, Emily, Lea, Liam, Kolin, Elijah, and Isabella. In 2000, she became grandma to Matthew Graham, Sarah Harkins, and her husband Chris and great-grandmother to their children Kai and Gabriel Graham and Christopher, Lily, Susannah and Havilah Harkins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 AM. A reception will follow in the Magnolia Room until 12:30 PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Roch Cemetery No. 2, New Orleans, LA.
