Emily Landry Robin

Emily Landry Robin passed peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the age of 91. Emily was born on July 2, 1934, the daughter of the late Fred and Helen Landry, and was raised on Delacroix Island. There, she met and married the love of her life, Earl Robin, in 1956, and together raised a family in Delacroix before moving to Meraux after Hurricane Betsy.

Emily had a special gift for growing plants and flowers, and her garden became a reflection of the patience, care, and devotion she gave to all she loved. She enjoyed cooking and soap operas and took great pride in cleanliness and order in her house, creating a safe and welcoming home for everyone in her life.

Her family was her greatest source of joy, and she loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren unwaveringly and unconditionally. In all things, she was deeply devoted to her faith throughout her life, always with a rosary at her side, and remained committed in her support of the church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Earl Robin; daughter Belinda Robin Lainhart; son-in-law Harold “Buddy” Lainhart; brothers Fred, Timothy, and Randy Landry; and sister Sylvia Landry Peterson. She is survived by her loving son Lonnie Robin (Debbie) and daughter Wendy Miller (George); grandchildren Krissy Fradella (Shane), Joshua Robin (Samantha), and Matthew Robin (Megan); three great-grandchildren, Catherine, Bellamy, and Ethan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family would like to thank Guardian Angels hospice, especially her nurses Maria and Demetrice, for their kindness and compassion, and those caregivers who became family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 8:00AM – 10:30AM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00AM at OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2320 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, St. Bernard, LA.
