Ernesto Fajardo Hontiveros Sr.

Ernesto Fajardo Hontiveros, Sr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2019. He was born on August 13, 1933 in Mambusao, Roxas City, Philippines to the late Felicidad Fajardo Hontiveros and the late Teodorico Fuentes Hontiveros. He moved to the United States in 1990, and resided in Chalmette, LA. He was married to his beloved late wife, Clarita Ocampo Hontiveros. He is survived by his son Roberto Hontiveros, sister Dolores “Dolly” H. Balbon, sister Teresita H. Burrell, daughter-in-law Marifar Baltazar Hontiveros, granddaughter Ashley Hontiveros, grandson Steven Matthew Hontiveros, many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Ernesto F. Hontiveros, Jr., six sisters, Soterana H. Irava, Josefina H. Parreño Lucita H. Patiño, Encarnacion H. Gulanes, Lilia F. Hontiveros, and Ester H. Fulgencio, and one brother, Jose F. Hontiveros. Mr. Hontivervos worked at the Hilton Hotel for many years until his retirement. He was a devout Catholic, a man of kindness and graciousness who loved his family dearly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue Street, Chalmette, LA beginning at 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral mass in the chapel at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
