Fay Cary Hyman

Fay Frances Cary DeStevens Hyman passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the age of 74. She was the cherished wife and best friend of 30 years to Jack J. Hyman. She was preceded in death by her dear children, Michael and Darren DeStevens; her parents, Harold and Marie Sessler Cary; and her brother, Ed Walter Cary. She is survived and fondly remembered by her brother, Robert “Bob” Cunningham; her beloved grandchildren Jillian Marie DeStevens Porter and Darren Joseph DeStevens; her great-grandchildren, Zoey and Charles; along with many nieces, nephews cousins and dear friends.

Fay was a native of Norfolk, VA and a longtime resident of New Orleans, LA where she and her husband Jack established Hyman and Associates, Inc. She and Jack later moved to Mississippi where they established North Beach Medical LLC in Mississippi. In both fields, she tirelessly served a multitude of positions, assuring their success both personally and with their community. She was known for her modesty, her goodwill toward her employees and her love of helping children in need. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all who were touched by her love, kindness, compassion and laughter. This world was a better place with her in it.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, May 21st from 10:00AM – 12:00PM, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 12:00PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard memorial Gardens.
