Gary Randolph Cook

Gary Randolph Cook passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the age of 68. He was the beloved son of the late Iris Kermit Cook and Anna Mae White Cook. Devoted brother of Janet Cook Dauterive (Ronnie) and the late Kenneth Wayne Cook. Uncle of Iran Meche, Kara Marinello, Jayna Babin, Patrice Pohlman and the late Kenneth Wayne Cook Jr. and Christina Cook. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many great nephews and nieces, along with many relatives and dear friends.

Gary was born in New Orleans, LA and a current resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Before his retirement he was a longtime member of the Boilermakers Union, eventually enjoying a long career as an estimator for construction projects. He truly enjoyed life through his simple pleasures of fishing and hanging out with his friends and family. He was well loved and will be deeply missed by his family and by all those whose lives he touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL, 701 W. Virtue St., in Chalmette, at 11:00 AM, in the Magnolia Room of the funeral home. A graveside service will begin at 12:00 PM in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in Gary’s memory.
