Hazel is preceded in death by her son, Robert Carter Jr; her parents, Silas Barton and June Counts; her siblings, Jerry Barton and Judy Davis.
Hazel was a woman who lived life in her own way, filling her days with what she loved most. She had a talent for crochet and a love for arts and crafts, often creating homemade items with great care and detail for loved ones. She enjoyed cooking and sharing her food with others. She was very sociable and could often be found at the senior Center playing Bingo or just socializing and spending time with friends and family. She loved Carnival Season and Mardi Gras, Endymion being her favorite parade. She will be remembered for her unmistakable presence, her creativity, and the way she embraced life in her own unique way. She leaves behind the memories of a life lived boldly and on her own terms.
