

She was born in Baptist Hospital of New Orleans on May 30th, 1958, to Richard and Anneliese Ducros. She spent very special times with her adopted grandparents of Judge Lawrence, “Uncle B,” and Marion, “Nanny” Bergeron of Friscoville Ave. in Arabi. She took care of Nanny in her later years. Jackie attended Promised Land and Mount Carmel Academics, studying education and graduating from UNO. She then received her master's degree in administration from Southeastern.
Jackie taught at Marrero Middle School, moving to Orleans Parish and working at Alcee Fortier, Andrew Belle Jr. High, and Israel Augustine before Hurricane Katrina. After Katrina she taught at Bunche Middle. She became assistant principal at West Jefferson High School becoming principal until 2010. She went on to be assistant principal at Patrick Taylor and moved on to Bonnabel High in 2011 where she remained until she retired in December, 2021.
Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Grandmother Elise “Oma” Robbeling, Nanny and Uncle B. She is survived by her partner of 31 years Suzan Serigny, her mother Anneliese, brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Patti, sister and brother-in-law, Dominque and Donald Broussard, nieces, Jenna and Anneliese, nephews, Trey and Hayden, and great nieces, Hazel Broussard.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at Gethsemane Lutheran, 2825 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM.
