Jacqueline Purcell Ferris peacefully passed away in Madisonville on November 22, 2018, at the age of 87. She was a long time resident of Chalmette, until Hurricane Katrina. Beloved mother of Linda Vaccaro (Ray), Kathleen Ashbey, Dani Guillot and Daniel Ferris, Jr. (Judy). Loving grandmother of Jeff, Lisa (Ken), Patrick (Stacy) and Justin. Great-grandmother of Evan and Alex. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Ferris, Sr., and by her brother, Frank Purcell.
Jacqueline liked to sew, crochet and do some gardening, but her passion was being on her computer. She was president of the St. Bernard Computer Club that she founded in the early 1980’s.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, Louisiana, on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in her honor at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
