James "Jayme" Ferret III

James “Jayme” Joseph Ferret III, loving father, brother, son and friend, found his eternal peace on July 3, 2016 at the age of 34. He is survived by his father, James “Sandy” Joseph Ferret Jr., his mother, Laurie Sentilles Ferret Cupstid, his stepparents, Rhonda Ferret and Steve Cupstid, as well as his grandparents, Patricia Ferret and Merlyn Sentilles. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rosemary Sentilles and his grandfather, James Ferret Sr. Jayme is the beloved brother of Jeremy Ferret (Ashley). Jayme leaves behind his son, Brady Michael Ferret, with his former wife, Leah Gaspard Blanchard. Jayme is also survived by his longtime partner, Molly Steiner. He will forever be lovingly remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jayme was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. He grew up playing sports at Versailles and was a 2000 graduate of Archbishop Hannan High School. Jayme was a passionate Saints fan, an avid hunter and fisherman, had a love for exploring the local cuisine and mastered the perfect crawfish boil. Jayme will always be remembered for his fun spirit and kind heart. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, July 9th from 12:00PM – 2:30PM, followed by a celebration of Jayme’s life beginning at 2:30PM. Burial will be private.
