John Klair Sansone

John Klair Sansone Sr. passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the age of 91. He was the beloved husband of the late Edna Rita Nichols Sansone. Devoted father of Patricia Sansone, John K. Sansone Jr. (Gwendolyn), Judith Sansone Hartzell and Dena Green-Voelker (Charles “Zeke”). Son of the late Salvadore and Ruth Klair Sansone. Brother of Bernadette Sansone Bruno. Proud grandfather of Brandi Sansone, John K. Sansone III, Lauren Meilleur, David Hartzell Jr. and Natalie Hartzell. Great grandfather of Victoria Green, Veronica Green, Brooklyne Sansone, Alayna Maschmeyer, Callie Maschmeyer, Bronx Sansone, Connor Sansone, Contessa Sansone and Molly Meilleur. Great-great grandfather of Ryleigh Burras and Myla Sansone.

John was a native of New Orleans, LA and a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. He enjoyed a long and storied career as a bartender at Pascal's Manale Restaurant for 60 years. He was well loved, and affectionately known for his good nature and generous heart.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2320 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, May 6th from 10:00AM – 12:00PM, followed by a Funeral Mass in John’s memory beginning at 12:00PM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
